Hermione Granger is a fictional character from the book, "Harry Potter", but her example to me is real . We feel the movie should have been called Hermione saves the day, because if it weren't for Hermione, Harry wouldn't have made it past the first book! She embraces individuality, is incredibly hard working, logical problem solver, caring friend, and confident in the face of adversity.
"Now, if you two don't mind, I'm going to bed, before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us killed — or worse, expelled." - Hermione Granger
Embracing Individuality - She was not afraid to be weird and put herself out there, for example whenever she knows the answer (which is most of the time) she puts her hand up as high as she can! You don't come by a witch like Hermione very often and she's proud of it. She is going to show that she is not your average witch and she did it by working hard it wasn't all just luck.

Hard Working - Hermione is incredibly hard working. She stays up by the fire place, reading trying to shove every inch of knowledge in her brain. Which is one of the reasons why she was the greatest witch of her time, and her pride in that made her work harder! Her drive might of come from her trying to prove she was not going to pushed around because of her heritage. This is similar to Lihong McPhail (my mom) because she came from the country side and was poor. And that drived her, and she studied day and night so she could move to America! And the only reason she could come was because of that drive to work hard and be able to move here, in America!

Confident - Hermione showed that you could do anything just by working hard and that took a lot of confidence. Confidence in herself, confidence in her friends, and confidence in what she thought was right. Hermione's confidence is amazing showing the circumstances. She is a mud blood and a little nerdy. But she pushed past that and showed that anything was possible!

Overcoming Racism - She wanted to prove that even though she was a mud blood she was a wizard and could be better or worse by how hard she worked. And I think one of the reasons why she's so smart is she wanted to show that she is the same even though she is a mud blood so she works extra hard to prove that to the “pure bloods”.
