In this article I will be talking about Ginny Weasley! Ginny's full name is Ginevra Molly Weasley. She is one of my favorite characters in Harry Potter and I hope after reading this article you will understand why.
Ginny is a fierce, kind, and talented witch. She is pure blood and is the youngest and only girl of the Weasley children. She had 6 brothers Ron, Fred and George, Percy, Bill, and Charlie. When Harry started his second year she attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, she was sorted into Griffendor house just like all her brothers! During Ginny's first year she became possessed by Tom Riddle’s (Voldemort) diary, aka, one of Voldemort’s horcruxes but she was later saved by Harry who destroyed the diary. Over the years Ginny became a very talented witch and was especially good at the bat-bogey-hex. She also fought the death-eaters lots of times with Harry and his friends including Hermione, Ron, Luna, and Neville. For example, She was at the fight at the Department of Mysteries in the Ministry of Magic.
Ginny was always very friendly with Hermione Granger, as their friendship grew stronger the two girls always comforted each other. For example, during Ginny’s second year at Hogwarts when the dementor came into their compartment on the Hogwarts express Ginny started to cry and Hermione came over to her and put an arm around her. Ginny’s relationship with her brother Ron was ok. Ron was always very protective of his little sister, sometimes, he would be a bit too protective and would annoy Ginny. Ginny also became one of Luna lovegood’s best friends, although at first Ginny would sometimes make fun of Luna calling her “Loony Lovegood” but over time she stopped doing it! Ginny and Luna are also in the same year at Hogwarts School but in different houses because Luna was in Ravenclaw house. Ginny also became friends with Neville Longbottom! Ginny and Neville went to the yule-ball together as friends during Ginny's third year at Hogwarts. She enjoyed it even though Neville kept stepping on her foot while they were dancing. And lastly when Ginny first met Harry, she was uncharacteristically shy because she liked harry. However when Ginny started to date other boys she stopped being shy and became herself again. Harry and Ginny became very close friends and later in time got married!
