Publishing Projects

Updated: Sep 6, 2021

Hello, WEquil.School members! This article explains how you can publish projects. Once you learn you can start sharing all your creations with the school and sign up to join our Demo Days!

Step 1 - Create an Account

If you go to https://www.wequil.school/ there is a Login button at the top right corner. If you click that button, you will be able to create an account or sign in. To create an account you will need approval from one of the admins. Once you have an account, reach out to either Joe or Sumay on Slack to get blog editing permission. You should get an email inviting you to collaborate on a website.

Within the email you will see an "Accept Now" button. Click it and it will direct you to another page. Click "Accept".

Once you have done that, either sign up or sign in if you already have an account. Keep in mind if the account you have signed in from is using a different email, you will not be able to edit the website.

Step 2 - Edit the Blog From Website

After accepting the invitation you should be able to create a blog post from the https://www.wequil.school/ website. First, refresh the page and then click on a post from the blog. It can be any post, and once you click on it you should see a "Create Post" button in the top right corner.

Once you click the Create Post button it should bring you to a page that allows you to write your project.

Step 3 - Create a project

After writing your post, go to the Post Settings button where you can add an image to go along with your post. New authors should add their name and a picture of themselves. If the author is under 13 they should use only their first name and last initial ... and an avatar instead of their actual picture.

Step 4 - Publish your project

And the very last thing you should do before publishing is going to the category tab in the Post Settings.

There are five levels at WEquil.School including Core, Lifeschool, Curiosity, Startups, and Graduation. See these virtual classrooms to learn more and choose the appropriate level for your project.

We have many topics and continue to expand these when we get enough projects. For example, we have STEM, Game Creation, Psychology...etc. Choose the appropriate topic and feel free to choose more than one.

Then, click the "Publish" button and you should be all set!

Step 5 - Synthesize

WEquil.School students don't receive grades. They learn through the Synthesized learning process (SLP). Publishing a project is the first step in the SLP. Click the picture below to discover what comes next.

Thank you for being part of our community! Please tell us how we can make this document more useful to other families!

Sincerely,

WEquil.School Leadership Team
