New Zealand

Hello! Today I will be talking about New Zealand. This amazing country is where the Lord Of The Rings movie is made. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the astonishing view, then hop on a zip line and gaze at the many mountains, forests, beaches, and waterfalls. After an exciting day of zip lining, bungy jumping, and many other activities, settle down and enjoy some delicious food, including crayfish, and roast lamb. In this article I will be discussing Lord Of the Rings, New Zealand Landscapes, and interesting things about New Zealand including cities, languages, plus food and sheep!

If you like the Lord of Rings, you would enjoy checking out places where the movie was made. Hobbiton (the Shire) is a two-hour bus ride from the largest city in New Zealand... Auckland! But if you're looking for a more adventurous hike, go and climb the amazing sight of Amon Amarth, otherwise known as Mount Doom which is where Mordor was filmed. There are also a lot of other movies made in New Zealand, such as the Hobbit trilogy, the Chronicles of Narnia, and King Kong.

Mount Doom is just a taste of the many, many mountains, waterfalls, beaches, forests, and more. If your plan is to hop on a boat, row down a still river, and gaze up at the beautiful cliff sides; then you better be ready for the raging waterfalls. But if you're looking for a greener feel then try hiking in some amazing forests such as Coromandel Forest Park, Hanmer Forest Park, Omahuta Forest Park. New Zealand doesn’t have a very large population, New York has even more people than New Zealand does! This has resulted in many breathtaking views and nature landscapes to be left untouched.

If you like to visit cities, the three largest cities in New Zealand are Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. Wellington is the capital city while Auckland and Christchurch have international airports. The official languages there include English, māori, and New Zealand sign language. Sheep farming is a significant industry that has made the country the largest exporter of lamb. In 2017, there were about 40 million sheep compared to about 4.4 million people in the country.

Because there are so many sheep, roast lamb has become one of the most popular foods in New Zealand! New Zealand also offers one of the largest varieties of seafood!

In this article I talked about Lord of the Rings and other movies made in New Zealand, it’s landscapes and Natural wonders, and interesting things about New Zealand.
