Creating Your WEquil School Profile

Updated: Jul 29, 2021

Hello WEquil.School Members!

Here's how you can customize your profile on the WEquil.School website. The first thing you need to do is become a member by clicking the "Log in" button at the top right corner of WEquil.School. Once you have clicked it you will have to have your membership approved.

You profile is where you can share your blog posts and drafts with other members of WEquil.School. This is a great place to collaborate and see other members projects as well. To edit your profile click the down arrow next to your profile picture on the top right corner of WEquil School and then click "Profile".

Once you go there you can edit your bio to include who you are, what you are interested in, and the state or country you are located in. If you are a parent you should include that your are the parent of your child who is in WEquil School.

Creating Posts

Underneath that you may have the option to create a post. For members of WEquil School who do not see this in the Profile section, contact either Joe or Sumay through Slack so they can allow you to create projects in the WEquil.School website.

If you would like to create your first project, but don't know how to get started, you can watch this video on how to create Minimum Viable Projects:

Profile Picture

You can edit your profile picture by hovering your mouse over the picture and clicking and then selecting the photo you would like to be your profile picture. Members under 13 should have parental permission before making their picture their real face.

There is also a settings tab where you can enable email notifications when new blog posts are published, whether you want to be notified when someone messages you and some other options.

My Account

There is also a My Account tab where you can edit your personal information and the URL for people to view your profile.

Some members of WEquil School may not be comfortable with their profile being shared with other members. In that case you have the option to make your profile private. The way you can do this is by going to your profile, clicking the three dots and selecting "Make Profile Private."

For members under 13, you can edit your profile picture to be something other than your real face unless your guardian has sent an email to stating they are comfortable with your real face to be shown.

Collaborating With Other Members

You can go to the member profiles page to see other members profiles and you can follow them to get notifications when they publish new projects. Members are also able to communicate through the website by clicking the message button or by clicking the "Members Chat" button on the bottom left.

At WEquil School we want to make collaboration and the ability to share projects and spread encouragement to be as easy as possible. If you have any suggestions on how we can make it easier for you, don't hesitate to let us know.
